42 roles: who we're hiring and why.

James MacDonald
VP OPERATIONS, NORTH AMERICA · TORONTO
42 open roles across Tracket

We've raised, hired, and ground through the messy first eight years. We're now 240 people across three offices, profitable, and ready for the next 100. Here's exactly where we're hiring, and the work each role would actually do.

One unusual thing about Tracket's culture: we publish the hiring plan, the rationale, and the headcount target every quarter. It keeps us honest about who we're growing and why.

Where the 42 roles sit

  • Engineering · 18 roles. Atlas platform team (4), CRM (3), Books (3), Desk (2), Mobile (2), Security (2), Infra/Reliability (2). Mostly Surat & Toronto.
  • Design & Research · 4 roles. Senior product designers across People, Books, Campaigns. One design researcher.
  • Product · 5 roles. PMs for Atlas data quality, Mobile, and three vertical slices.
  • Go-to-market · 9 roles. Two enterprise AEs (Toronto, London), three solutions engineers, three CSMs, one alliances lead.
  • Operations · 6 roles. Compliance, FP&A, payroll specialists, one Latin America expansion lead.

What we look for

Two non-negotiables: judgment and craft. We don't filter on tenure, brand-name employers, or whether you've shipped a thing that lots of people use. We filter on whether we'd want to work with you on a hard problem at 4pm on a Friday.

We don't do whiteboard interviews. We do paid take-home work that resembles the actual job, capped at four hours. If you don't want to do paid work for an interview, fair enough — we lose plenty of candidates that way and we accept the trade.

If you're considering applying

Read why payroll is the unsexy app we're proudest of, or our defence of the boring CRM. Those two posts will tell you more about how we work than any culture deck. If you nod along, we'd love to talk.
